This may or may not be an issue for you as a Dark Souls player. And in all honesty, Dark Souls Remastered on Switch looks like a port of the Prepare to Die Edition, except with the quality of life improvements like UI adjustments and better online servers. Textures aren’t quite as crisp as we’d come to expect from the ‘Remastered’ branding of the game. Dark Souls Remastered on Switch lacks the little details like the updated bonfires and the prettier item pickup orbs. Other eagle-eyed players who checked out the Network Test came to the same conclusion as well. It also features a number of key changes which does a significant change in gameplay, including revamped rules for PVP and co-op mode.However, upon further inspection, I noticed that the Switch version of the game doesn’t actually feature all the little graphical improvements and details that we saw on the PS4 and Xbox One. Dark Souls 2 is a little bit newbie-friendly right now and makes PVP a little bit interesting. Undead can now be invaded and you lose maximum health the more you die as undead. Covenants still exist but have undergone some refinement. In online mode, visiting other characters’ games are now limited by a timer. Two new classes are also introduced: The Explorer and the Swordsman. Players can now select one of the 8 featured starting Classes. Character customization in Dark Souls 2 now takes place in the hut close to the beginning of Things – Betwixt Zone. The game’s story still takes place in a fictional world called Drangleic, but with a couple of changes that greatly impact the game.
Because of the game’s nature, it distorts human senses, grasping a wide range of threats that will prey on human senses and phobias (auditory hallucinations, vertigo, acrophobia, and much more).
